Contains the number of (a count of) various objects, such as equations, figures, tables, etc., that are contained within an article

Value Meaning
A counting number For each of the element types being counted, this attribute holds the number that are present in the article. For example, a value of “15” on the element <fig-count> would indicate that there are 15 figures in the document.
Restriction: This attribute must be specified if the element is used.
