License Information

Definition

The set of conditions under which people are allowed to use an article, or other license-related information or restrictions

Remarks

Best practice is to use the <license> element only within the container element <permissions>. The <license> element is allowed outside the permissions wrapper only for reasons of backwards compatibility.

The current <license> element is a place-holder element that may change after the AIT Working Group has done additional analysis.
