Author Comment

Definition

An article metadata element that contains extra textual material associated with a contributor (an author or editor).

Remarks

Conversion Note: Although a typical author comment might explain, for example, some facts about the circumstances under which a contributor wrote the article material, during conversion the <author-comment> element can also act as an escape mechanism to take the content of any contributor-related elements not anticipated by the DTD Suite.
