Additional material added to — and usually following — an article, for example, a table (or set of tables), maps, notes, etc. This is ancillary or supporting material, not a direct continuation of the text of an article.
An appendix must have some sort of title, so that, for example, a Table of Contents can be automatically generated. Therefore, this tag set requires that an appendix be tagged with (minimally) either a <title> or a <label>. An appendix may be tagged with both.
