Names the type of journal identifier or the authority that created a particular journal identifier
This Tag Set can record multiple journal identifiers, and best practice is to use this attribute to differentiate them. A journal may have multiple identifiers, each unique to its own defining authority. For example, the value “doi” would indicate that the identifier is a Digital Object Identifier. The value “publisher-id” would indicate that the publisher of the article assigned this particular identifier, but would say nothing about what kind of identifier it is. Similarly, the value “nlm-ta” would indicate that the identifier is the NLM Title Abbreviation.
